Dr Jade Dunstan of Medicine on Second
Dr Dunstan is from Hobart, Tasmania having graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine in 2015.
She has been enjoying living on the Sunshine Coast since 2018. Jade is in her last year as a GP Registrar and currently studying for her Fellowship of Royal College of General Practice (FRACGP).
Jade has completed postgraduate studies in Paediatrics. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice especially women’s health and children’s health.

Dr Richard Hayter of Medicine on Second
Raised in Far North Qld, Dr Hayter obtained degrees in pharmacy and then in medicine & Surgery from The University of Qld (2008).
He completed internship and worked as a resident medical officer at Nambour Hospital before beginning practice as a GP in Noosa Hinterland, and was awarded Fellowship of Royal College of General Practice (FRACGP) in 2015.
Dr Hayter joined Medicine on Second in 2019 and enjoys all aspects of general practice with particular interest in men’s health and mental health.

Dr Andrew Caldwell of Medicine on Second
Originally from New Zealand, Dr Andrew Caldwell studied medicine at University of Queensland before carrying out his early medical career in Rockhampton where his emphasis was on emergency medicine. He subsequently completed General Practice training through RACGP which included time working in rural medicine in Childers and further emergency experience in Caloundra Hospital.
He enjoys all aspects of General practice but particularly enjoys preventative medicine, working with kids and families and skin cancer diagnosis and management.
Outside of medicine he enjoys family time with his wife and four children, surfing, outdoor pursuits and carpentry.

Dr Gerard Collins of Medicine on Second
Dr Gerard Collins is currently a GPT3 registrar who commenced working at Medicine on Second in 2022. Gerard grew up on the Sunshine Coast and completed Bachelor of Biomedical Science at University of the Sunshine Coast in 2013 before studying Doctor of Medicine (honours) at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. He returned to the Sunshine Coast upon graduation and has worked throughout the public hospital service before settling into General Practice.
When not at work he enjoys the beach with his wife and dog as well as woodworking in his spare time.
Gerard enjoys all areas of General Practice with particular interest in skin cancer medicine as well as preventative and cardiovascular health, men’s health, and children and adolescent health.
Dr Collins works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm

Dr Carlsson is a GP who enjoys tailoring individual care for a broad range of medical and mental health issues. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2002 and obtained fellowship as a GP in 2015 after many years working in critical care medicine. She holds diplomas in travel medicine, tropical health and mountain medicine which took her to Malawi and trekking as a group doctor summiting Mt Kilimanjaro.
Ceinwen enjoys all aspects of general practice and enjoys continuing professional development holding diplomas in skin cancer medicine and is currently working towards ASLM Fellowship ( Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine). Lifestyle medicine is the application of environmental, behavioural, medical and motivational principles to the management of lifestyle related health problems. Ceinwen aims to prevent and reverse chronic disease through addressing and exploring the underlying root cause.
Despite having a very welsh name she does not speak welsh and please don’t ask her to pronounce that very long place name in Northern Wales

They run our treatment room efficiently and help our patients in many ways, including wound care, childhood immunisations, medical testing, health assessments, asthma and diabetes education. They also ensure the highest standards of patient care and infection control are maintained.
